President Joko Widodo inaugurates shrimp ponds to boost local economy

VOI NEWS  President Joko Widodo has inaugurated the construction of 17

hectares of shrimp ponds in Muaragembong Sub-district, Bekasi, West Java to boost local economy. The small, medium enterprises program developed by the state enterprise, in cooperation with the Indonesian government, is aimed to improve the economic condition of the farmers. The program will utilize the technology system to increase shrimp harvest in ponds. By implementing the technology system, the farmers can obtain a harvest of about five tons of shrimps per three months. The technology system will utilize the automatic timer and three-water distillation canals, which can be managed through smartphones. President Joko Widodo hopes that by implementing the technology, the farmers can obtain more yields from their shrimp ponds. (Ant)

Radicalism must be countered consistently andhumanly                                                                                                                 

Radicalism and terrorism can occur everywhere in the world. However, the handling of the case must be overcome consistently through humanist approach. This was stated by Intelligent Observer, Wawan Purwanto to media in the sidelines of National Meeting of Boarding School Scholars and intellectual Moslem of missionary Endeavour of Defending State at Al Hikam Students College Boarding School in Depok, West Java on Tuesday (31/10).

"We must consistently face radicalism and terrorism by many ways, de-radicalism, re-education and re-socialism; how to make them have jobs, give training for them and their family. Not only Indonesia but also some other countries also face terrorism. There are many countries working together to overcome the core problems which are related to political, economic and unfair problems. Such problems must be jointly addressed in in order the situation is well-organized,” said Wawan Purwanto. 

Moreover, Wawan Purwanto does hope the Indonesian government to boost cooperation with foreign countries in facing radicalism and terrorism that threaten Indonesian sovereignty. (AF-VOI)
